Founded in 1971, Randolph & Hein Inc. has evolved from a company producing faithful antique reproduction furniture, to commissioning and producing contemporary designs by prominent designers that have become timeless furniture classics of the twenty-first century.

Randolph & Hein Textiles offered it’s first collection of silk fabrics in 1978. This collection has grown to include many of the beautiful and unique textiles that have become staples in the exclusive repertoire of fabrics selected by prominent designers worldwide for use in high-end residential and hospitality projects.Randolph & Hein Furniture employs the finest materials and construction techniques. Fine hardwood and exotic veneers are used in all of our furniture as well as the totally custom furniture we make to our clients specifications. We offer upholstered furniture, seating, as well as case goods, mirrors and other accent pieces. Our finishing department employs a broad spectrum of fine finishing techniques. We offer wood stains finished with hand rubbed lacquers and varnishes. Faux finishes and various other decorative painted techniques, and of course, water gilding and oil gilding are available using 18th Century, European methods.

Our upholstery department maintains the tradition of bench made custom pieces. Hardwood frames are hand sprung and constructed using the finest filling materials as individually specified for each piece. Hand-sewn couture detailing is used to complete our fine upholstery.

The design aesthetic of our Urban Group of furniture is contemporary or transitional in feeling. Our Traditional Collection includes faithful antique reproductions as well as other furniture suitable for more relaxed living environments. Our John Dickinson Collection includes many iconic pieces designed exclusively for Randolph & Hein by this legendary designer. Several of the pieces from this collection made by Randolph & Hein are in the permanent collection of The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
